LENGTH/CREDITS:           Full Year and 1.0 Credit(per year)

PREREQUISITES:             Reading Specialist places based on student data and collaboration with DAIS staff.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is a second year reading course, that provides additional support for struggling readers. It is an individualized course that utilizes Read 180 and System 44 software, interactive books, and experiences to provide intensive daily instruction in reading comprehension. This course continues to improve students phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
